Chaves Flops a Double

Livello 9 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Marius Gierse opened to 6,000 from under the gun and found a call from Vlad Martynenko in the hijack. Pedro Chaves came along in the big blind, with three players seeing the 898 flop.

Chaves and Gierse checked to Martynenko, who fired 6,500. Chaves was the only caller to see the J turn.

Both players then checked to the 2 river, where Chaves led out for 11,500. Martynenko did not take long to raise enough to put his opponent all in, with Chaves snap-calling.

Martynenko turned over 22 for a full house, but it was second best as Chaves showed 98 for a superior full house on the flop to double his stack.
